This month marks the firm’s 27th Anniversary
Zach Sprouse is a trial lawyer concentrating his practice in complex civil litigation, serious injuries, business litigation and counseling, and other high-stakes cases. Zach’s recent jury verdicts as lead trial counsel include a $3 million win over a nationally recognized motor carrier.
While in law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law, Zach clerked for the Criminal Appeals division of the SC Attorney General’s Office and a three-time Chairman of the Consumer Law Section of the South Carolina Bar. In cases concerning the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Zach’s work alongside lead counsel has led to settlement wins over mortgage servicing companies and other debt collectors.
He studied federal practice under a Senior United States District Court Judge and received a CALI Award for Excellence – the highest award in the class – from the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Previously, Zach handled crisis communications for corporate clients at an Atlanta-based consultancy. He directed media relations strategy for legal teams facing a blitz of high-profile coverage. Zach’s guest commentary on regional economic trends has been featured in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Recruited out of the Stan Smith and Billy Stearns Tennis Academy, Zach earned four varsity letters as an NCAA Division I student-athlete at Presbyterian College. He served as captain of the Varsity Tennis Team and was named MVP after leading the team to its first-ever Big South Conference Championship Finals.
